In the past few years, driver interest in hybrid and EV cars has greatly increased. People are interested in the many benefits offered by hybrid and alternative fuel vehicles, such as the environmental benefits, the cost savings at the pump, and the tax benefits. As always, Lexus has stayed ahead of the curve when it comes to alternative fuel vehicles, and it manufactures six hybrid versions of vehicles in its core lineup. Here at Lexus of Valencia, our dealers are happy to explain exactly how these hybrid vehicles operate.
Hybrid Lexus SUVs and Sedans
There are three Lexus hybrid SUVs: NX, UX, and RX. While the three differ slightly in size, exterior design, and cabin features, they share a similar devotion to environmentally friendly hybrid power.
For instance, the 2021 Lexus Uxh features a potent 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that is matched with a hybrid battery. The unique fuel injector and oil pump design elevates the UX to a level of efficiency that’s virtually unheard of in a passenger vehicle. In total, the SUV achieves up to 39 miles per gallon.
Another benefit that hybrid Lexus vehicles such as the 2021 Lexus ES 300h bring to the table is all-wheel-drive technology. It’s not often that durable all-wheel-drive vehicles are as efficient as these hybrid vehicles. The AWD on the Lexus ES 300h provides enhanced traction by automatically allocating torque between the front and rear wheels to as much as 50/50.
Lexus LF-30 Concept Electric Car
Lexus is also hard at work on a fully electric car known as the LF-30 Electrified. From innovations that vary power output for optimized vehicle posture to in-wheel electric motors, the car promises a dynamic driving experience unlike any other.
