The new Lexus GX is redesigned from the inside out, riding on the latest iteration of the Lexus GA-F platform with higher ground clearance than before. Combined with double-wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension, this affords improved handling and G-force management.
The powertrain is also improved. It’s now underpinned by a 3.4-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine capable of 349 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque, significantly increasing over the previous powerplant’s 301 horses and 329 lb-ft. A 10-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission, 33-inch all-terrain tires on 18-inch wheels, standard full-time four-wheel drive, a Torsen® limited-slip differential, and an 8,000-pound towing capacity ensure that this SUV is as capable as it is comfortable.
